Warner Brothers and Vonetize Partner to Deliver 4K Movies in Brazil
Vonetize’s SmartVOD service debuts Warner’s new releases in 4K on Samsung Smart TVs
Noam Josephides, Vonetize’s CEO, commented, “Vonetize has always put the highest effort in being the front-runner in video and user experience quality in the global VOD market. Today we start delivering Hollywood’s best movies in an uncompromising quality of true 4K to all TVs in Brazil, and soon in other markets in the region.”
Warner Brothers’ newest hits such as Justice League, Wonder Woman and Dunkirk, as well as library hits such as Interstellar and Sherlock Holmes are available for rental or digital purchase in spectacular 4K quality on supported Smart TVs across Brazil starting today.
As the fastest growing market segment in consumer-electronics, lack of 4K content has been the prime complaint of users buying the newest and shiniest TV sets from leading manufacturers. Today Vonetize reveals the opportunity to enjoy the best movies from the cinema theater – in cinema quality! At this point, the movies will be rented and sold in the same price points as regular Full-HD films, so no additional cost will be put on the end users to enjoy the highest-quality experience. In exchange to the distributions services, Foxxum will be entitled to a proportionate percentage of the net proceeds Vonetize receives from users who subscribe on Foxxum’s platform. Foxxum’s share of the net proceeds will increase in correlation with the growth in the number of unique users.
A week ago, Vonetize announced the completion of Takoomi’s acquisition as part of its strategic plan to expand its service offering. Takoomi’s profitable operations are expected to improve Vonetize’s financial results. Takoomi is an “advertising exchange” system for video advertising, an area with annual double-digit growth rate. It relies on technologies which link the content of leading sites, such as Yahoo and AOL with international advertising agencies and exchanges, some of which are traded on NASDAQ. Takoomi was founded in 2012 by Yotam Benattia and Roni Lev. Its customer base includes over 400 websites and applications visited every month by more than 200 million unique visitors from more than 100 countries. Takoomi uses proprietary technology to reach out to high quality customers with solutions that help them grow their profits.
