The red hot Israeli tech scene is churning out new startups every month, each aiming to be the next big thing. Many even have their eyes set on achieving unicorn status or beyond. Below is a list of Israeli startups set to shine brightly in 2016.

 

1. Apester

Apester is a digital storytelling platform that drives increased engagement for publishers by integrating the voice of the reader into their editorial coverage. Apester is a leader in digital storytelling, with more than 300 million impressions a month and 600+ leading publishers using the platform, including AOL, The Daily Telegraph, The Huffington Post, BBC, Sky, and Bild.

 

2. Rounds

Rounds is a social platform that combines live communication and entertainment. Rounds allows friends to send text messages, video chat with up-to 12 participants and engage in activities while chatting – watch videos, play games, share photos and more. Supporting over 7000 devices, Rounds has raised $22 million in funding from Sequoia Capital, Samsung Ventures, Verizon Ventures, DFJ’s Tim Draper, and Rhodium.

 

3. Windward

Windward analyzes and organizes all of the world’s maritime data, bridging a large information gap to identify security threats and even predict financial trends. The solution is in wide use amongst the Intelligence and governmental clients worldwide, as well as financial institutions. The company has raised over $15 million from Aleph and Horizons Ventures.

 

4. Bizzabo

Bizzabo is the world’s first event success platform. It helps organizers create successful events by empowering them to build amazing websites, sell tickets, grow communities, go mobile and maximize event experiences – using a beautiful, user friendly platform. Bizzabo has raised over $4M in funding from top investors.

 

5. Clicksmob

Clicksmob has taken the model of affiliate marketing and made it uniquely relevant to the new and ever-evolving world of mobile – providing a marketplace for advertisers and publishers to buy and deliver mobile traffic for ROI positive monetization and user acquisition. With a female CEO at the helm and more than 60% female employees, ClicksMob was named one of “America’s Most Promising Companies” for 2015 by Forbes.

 

6. Lightricks

Lightricks is a leading mobile software company founded by computational photography experts with the goal of transforming creativity on mobile. Facetune is constantly on the App Store’s best-selling apps list. Lightricks have made over $18 million in revenue selling their two apps Facetune and Enlight, and recently raised $10 million in their first round of external funding.

 

7. enSilo

enSilo is a cyber-security startup offering a real-time targeted data exfiltration prevention platform to help corporations and governments secure their networks, even if a hacker manages to gain entry. enSilo’s solution enables business continuity while a device compromise is being resolved, and is headed by security veterans from leading private and public sector companies.

 

8. Vonetize

Vonetize is a turnkey VOD service that develops premium content services and technology platforms for Smart TVs and mobile devices, reaching millions worldwide. The company provides a variety of content offerings, from newly released Hollywood movies on its premium service and Smart VOD to children’s programming and niche content for diverse communities on its global channels.

 

9. Checkmarx

Checkmarx is the leading developer of software solutions used to identify, fix and block security vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications. 12. Bringg

Bringg is a mobile-based platform that resolves to transform regular delivery businesses into Uber-like powerhouses. It enables businesses to better manage their tasks and drivers while permitting customers to track their orders in real time. Bringg was founded in 2013 and has raised $2.5 million in seed funding.

 

13. Logdog

LogDog is a leading anti-hacking protection app. The concept for the App was formed by one of the founders social accounts being hacked. The LogDog system monitors online accounts and continuously scans various indicators of unauthorized access. LogDog monitors multiple accounts and devices for each of their protected users. LogDog was formed in 2013 and has raised 3.5M $ in seed and A rounds.

 

14. Powtoon

PowToon is a platform that lets users create professional animated videos and presentations using a simple drag and drop interface. PowToon lets users create product videos, empowers inner communication presentations and grabs the viewers attention faster and more efficiently. Over 1,880,000 presentations have been created through Powtoon to date.
